Zafferani 5 Spindle Straight Line Beveller

Designed as an entry level machine into the bevelling market, the BEVEL MAC 5 offers bevel quality at an affordable price. Featuring the same rugged construction features for which Zafferani is known, the machine is ideal for the first time beveller who does not need to run at 100mph 16 hours/day. With a fixed 5 degree bevel angle, the machine has four bevelling wheels (1 metal diamond wheel, 2 resin diamond wheels and 1 polishing felt wheel) along with a pencil edge wheel for cleaning up the edge.

The conveyor track is an oil slide system with special cast iron pads with vulcanized rubber surfacing. The conveyor has a positive adjustment for accepting glass from 1/8” (3mm) up to 3/4” (19mm) glass. A hand crank is used to move the wheel bed in and out for differing bevel widths and differing glass thicknesses. In this way, a separate set-up is not required when glass parameters change. Spindles are fully adjustable for side angle and vertical facing to the glass and a mini-computer on the control panel provides a read out of all bevel function parameters on the machine. An isolated recycling system for cerium oxide slurry with stainless steel tank provides polishing slurry to the felt wheel.
