Heavy Duty is probably the best way to describe this four spindle peripheral edger from Zafferani. Built to handle glass up to 7/8” thick, this machine can produce OG edge or waterfall edge on 3/4” glass, while at the same time producing standard pencil or flat edges at high speed. Two shift high production operations are standard fare for this machine.
With a roller chain conveyor pad system, each pad with a central bearing for vertical hold along a precision ground rail, the conveyance system provides exceptional linearity. This coupled with over-dimensioned motor spindles with a tolerance of 0.015mm (about 1/2 of a 1,000” ) makes for a high precision grind and polish. Featuring also the front-loading grinding compartment, dial-in speed control with AC inverter, and standard wheel angle function for different thicknesses of glass using the same wheels, the machine can be operated and adjusted with ease. |
