Metral Automatic Glass Drilling Machine

Built for a wide variety of hole applications, the fully automatic TD-3 from Metral will handle hole sizes up to 8" in diameter and glass up to 2" thick with ease. The machine has a 47" throat, which means that you can drill a hole in the middle of a 96" piece of glass. Top and bottom drilling units are sequentially controlled and governed by a dial-in speed regulator. Simply turn the dial to the hole size required and the speed is automatically adjusted. For larger holes, a laser provides perfect centering of the bit.

The machine comes with a pedal-operated pop-up caster table for easy movement of the glass. The top of the line model comes equipped with a programmable X/Y locator system which memorizes coordinates and allows the operator to pull up a hole pattern on the screen and drill the holes without measuring or marking the glass.

Special construction features are the replaceable stainless steel chucks and waterfeed directly above the drill bit itself (this avoids the possibility of water leaking into critical areas).
