Employing an oil slide double chain conveyor system, the pads are in cast iron with vulcanised rubber surfacing. The variable angle wheel bed, consisting of 3 wheels (1 diamond wheel and 2 polishing wheels), can be set at 0° to run flat edge, with the final four arris wheels (two front and two back) producing 45° seams. Mitering can be carried out at any angle between 0-60° by driving the wheel bed from the control panel to any angle desired. High polish is generated using a cerium oxide impregnated polishing wheel.

A combination flat edger and mitering machine for production of flat edge, miter and rear arris in one pass. Heavy Duty is probably the best way to describe this four spindle peripheral edger from Zafferani. Built to handle glass up to 7/8” thick, this machine can produce OG edge or waterfall edge on 3/4” glass, while at the same time producing standard pencil or flat edges at high speed.
